About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available at Via Westminster Drug Project, a leading organization in the field of substance misuse treatment. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client re-engagement into treatment services, reducing unsuccessful discharges and increasing positive outcomes for our clients.
  • Deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to service users and their significant others, facilitating positive outcomes.
  • Manage a caseload, coordinating and delivering assessment and evidence-based interventions, recovery planning, and aftercare planning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support volunteers, peer mentors, and service user representatives, engaging them to actively participate in i-access services.
  • Co-facilitate SMART Recovery Groups and Recovery Café.

About the Service

i-access is an integrated service delivered in partnership by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) and Via. It provides substance misuse treatment for people aged 18 and onwards within Surrey.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of substance misuse treatment and recovery principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in case management and coordination.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and recovery planning.
