Position: Electrical Cost Analyst

As a result of their ongoing expansion and achievements, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Cost Analyst to become a vital part of their commercial division.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and relevant experience in cost estimation or project oversight.

The successful applicant will be based in a supportive and collaborative office environment, working alongside a dedicated team of estimators, designers, and contract managers. The organization provides a hybrid working model, allowing for a blend of office and remote work.

Employment Type:

  • Permanent, full-time
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday

Compensation:

  • Annual salary range: £55,000 - £60,000
  • Includes a vehicle package

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze tender documents and specifications to facilitate the creation of competitive bids, including negotiating tender values with clients.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities, maintaining detailed records and preparing reports related to tender submissions.
  • Collaborate effectively as an integral member of the estimating team.
  • Ensure that all tenders comply with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental legislation, in addition to adhering to internal health and safety policies.
  • Generate precise net estimates with comprehensive breakdowns for review and adjudication.
  • Explore value engineering opportunities throughout the tendering process.
  • Serve as a technical authority on all project-specific scopes of work.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar estimating role is preferred.
  • Qualifications in Estimating or Quantity Surveying are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of estimating and quantity surveying principles.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent time management skills is essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness and effective relationship-building skills with clients and architects.
