Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team at Ofgem. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in implementing regulatory policy for electricity transmission networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed and robust analysis of submissions to determine the economic and efficient costs associated with the development and delivery of projects.
  • Develop creative and robust analysis of complex information to support policy and decision-making.
  • Review and draw conclusions from detailed cost and technical submissions.
  • Presentation of analysis and policy/decision proposals to senior managers and external stakeholders.
  • Produce internal management papers, external reports, consultations, and impact assessments.
  • Lead assessment of two or more large infrastructure projects at any time, involving project planning, analysis of issues, management of external consultants, and management of work packages allocated to other team members.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess and interpret complex information and data.
  • Experience of stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record of effective delivery of work packages or projects in a commercial or public sector environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Good project management skills with a strong track record of delivery against challenging deadlines.
  • Experience of people management, either directly or in a matrix working environment.
