Position Overview:
As the Chief of Financial Analysis and Reporting, you will be a key member of the leadership team, providing essential support to the Director of Finance and Business Systems across the organization. This newly established role reflects the increasing scale and complexity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure excellence in the oversight and planning of expenditures, particularly focusing on centralized functions.
- Enhance management information systems, including expenditure tracking and related impacts, to empower senior stakeholders to manage delivery effectively.
- Develop comprehensive corporate reporting and analytical capabilities in collaboration with the Portfolio Management Office and other key departments.
- Provide critical information to both internal and external stakeholders regarding areas such as headcount and organizational efficiencies.
- Oversee core finance and project accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Foster cross-team initiatives and promote best practices, encouraging continuous process improvement.
- Support robust corporate governance and champion transparency in reporting and key corporate policies.
Additional Duties:
- Deliver high-quality financial and related information to senior management and external stakeholders, consolidating performance reporting across the organization.
- Manage monthly consolidated financial performance reporting, including budgets and forecasts, supported by relevant non-financial information and insights.
- Oversee the month-end close process, consolidating management reporting and producing executive summaries and quarterly reports.
- Lead and develop direct reports, ensuring regular performance reviews and skill development within the finance team.
- Manage financial planning and reporting for central functions, overseeing significant expenditures and related programs.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience in a senior capacity, ideally with a strong background in corporate reporting.
- Proven experience in business case development and analysis.
- Highly motivated with the ability to manage and develop direct reports while supporting the overall growth of the finance team.
- Strategic thinker capable of contributing significantly to corporate plans.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and development.
