Social Worker for Looked After Children

We are seeking a dedicated social worker to join our integrated Looked After Children service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children and young people between the ages of 0-18, providing assessment, care planning, and permanency planning services.
Key Responsibilities:- Hold a caseload of children and young people, providing assessment and care planning services
- Work with family law care proceedings, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including LAC CAMHS clinicians, Virtual School for Looked After Children, and specialist health and mediation services
- Progress work within statutory timescales, ensuring Looked After Children Reviews, Personal Education Planning Meetings, and Looked After Children Medicals are completed
- Work with unaccompanied asylum seeking children, participating in age assessments
- Good experience of working in children's social care, with some experience in family law care proceedings
- Good working knowledge of the legislative framework relating to children, particularly the Children Act 1989
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team, reporting to a senior practitioner
