Social Worker for Looked After Children

We are seeking a dedicated social worker to join our integrated Looked After Children service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children and young people between the ages of 0-18, providing assessment, care planning, and permanency planning services.
Key Responsibilities:- Hold a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely assessment and care planning.
- Work collaboratively with family law care proceedings teams to ensure effective support for children and families.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the integrated LAC service and the wider Camden social work service.
- Participate in age assessments for unaccompanied asylum seeking children, working closely with the Virtual School for Looked After Children and specialist health and mediation services.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of creative interventions to improve outcomes for looked after children and care leavers.
- Good experience of working in children's social care, with a focus on family law care proceedings.
- Strong knowledge of the legislative framework relating to children, particularly the Children Act 1989.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages.
