Social Worker for Looked After Children

We are seeking a dedicated social worker to join our integrated Looked After Children service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children and young people between the ages of 0-18, providing assessment, care planning, and permanency planning.
Key Responsibilities- Hold a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely progress within the statutory framework for Looked After Children.
- Work collaboratively with the Virtual School for Looked After Children, LAC CAMHS clinicians, and specialist health and mediation services to design creative interventions improving outcomes for looked after children and care leavers.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships across the integrated LAC service and the wider Camden social work service.
- Good experience of working in children's social care, with some experience in working with family law care proceedings.
- Good working knowledge of the legislative framework relating to children, particularly the Children Act 1989 and all legislation related to looked after children and Children in Need.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
