Nuclear Quality Control Engineer

Position Overview:
Westlakes Recruit is seeking a qualified Quality Engineer with expertise in the nuclear sector for a permanent role. This position is essential for ensuring that all quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee onsite quality by conducting inspections and physical assessments to guarantee adherence to client specifications, standards, and technical drawings.
  • Implement quality control measures from design through to final inspection, including Quality Inspection Test Plans (QITPs) and product evaluations in line with both internal and client requirements.
  • Conduct Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Identify and resolve issues using established methodologies such as the 5 Whys and 8D problem-solving techniques.
  • Document Non-Conformances (NC) and ensure comprehensive investigations are performed according to established protocols.
  • Manage client relationships by fostering a collaborative approach to problem resolution.
  • Prepare various quality documentation necessary for client audits and internal assessments.
  • Maintain organized quality records and logs to monitor quality trends effectively.
  • Conduct both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop action plans based on audit results to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare for and facilitate external technical audits as required.
  • Regularly review and update policies and procedures to align with best practices.
  • Assist in delivering Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) training to team members.
  • Ensure that all projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to support the quality assurance function.
