We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Practitioner to lead the Early Help Team in Tameside. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management oversight to the Early Help Adviser Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide robust initial and final management oversight to Early Help referrals received in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and via the Team Around the Setting (TAS).
- Make decisions based on the Tameside threshold of need document.
- Provide management oversight and case direction to the Early Help Advisers.
- Allocate and manage the caseloads of the Early Help Advisers, ensuring that timescales and key performance indicators are adhered to.
- Quality assure and finalize the Early Help Advisers' decision making in line with the threshold of need document.
- Identify themes, complete audits, and collect data to support the development of the service and identify training needs for Early Help Advisers and other professionals.
- Work closely with partner agencies, such as schools, health, children's social care, police, and voluntary sector organizations.
- Communicate effectively with a range of professionals and manage competing priorities.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of the Early Help offer available to families and the importance of the support identified/provided to prevent escalation to statutory services where possible.
Requirements:
- Social Worker Qualification
- Social Work England Registration
- Substantial previous experience (including Children's)
- Previous management experience
