About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to join our Specialist Dental Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Level 3 Paediatric Dental care to the population of Hull and East Yorkshire.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-led care to children with complex medical problems, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and other special needs.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines related to Paediatric Dentistry.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team and manage all staff to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with medical and dental consultants to establish joint care plans for patients with complex needs.
  • Teach and mentor postgraduate and undergraduate students in Paediatric Dentistry.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS/BChD) or equivalent qualification.
  • MPaeds Qualification or equivalent.
  • Registered on the GDC Specialist list in Paediatric Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of post-CCST training or equivalent (eligible if completion within 6 months of date of interview).
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support course completion within the last two years.
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to Paediatric Dentistry.
