Job Title: Category Manager - Beers, Wines, and Spirits

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement process across all Compass and Foodbuy Group lead projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute procurement strategies to identify value and commercial gains
  • Implement best practice procurement processes and improve operational stakeholder engagement
  • Manage and lead the procurement process across all Compass and Foodbuy Group lead projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams and sales teams on the strategy for all new Foodbuy lead contracts
  • Work alongside brand Commercial Directors and GPO clients to execute transformation projects
Requirements:
  • Natural and articulate management skills with good listening abilities
  • Strong decision-maker with commercial acumen, comfortable working under pressure
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the alcohol industry and the nuances of working with vendor brands
  • Proven capability to build and implement strategies and lead complex large-scale projects
