Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Foodbuy Group. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement process for the Beverage Category, including Beers, Wines, and Spirits.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead the procurement process for the Beverage Category, ensuring optimal balance between value for money, innovation, quality, service, and cost savings.
- Define and implement procurement strategies for new Foodbuy lead contracts, identifying the best commercial value model.
- Contribute to the wider Foodbuy Group's savings and category performance.
- Support the RFX sourcing framework and drive competition through robust tenders, negotiations, and eAuctions.
- Cultivate and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver category procurement strategies and realize business savings.
- Work with brand Commercial Directors and GPO clients to execute transformation projects and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Support innovation and Sustainability goals for end clients.
- Build and deliver category plans by fostering innovative and collaborative relationships to benefit end clients.
- Minimize revenue and capital costs through improved tool and process use.
- Consistently track and report on savings targets.
- Communicate the value of the Procurement function to the business.
- Natural and articulate management skills with good listening skills.
- Ability to deliver and influence communication concisely and steer conversation to influence decisions.
- Strong decision-making skills with commercial acumen and comfort working under pressure.
- Proven ability to reduce costs against tough market backdrops.
- Evidence of cross-functional working experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical and methodical approach.
- Ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a strategic viewpoint.
