About the Role

We are seeking a Governance and Compliance Lead to oversee the Governance & Compliance team and ensure adherence to the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR15) and the implementation of the new Procurement Act 2023 (PA23). The successful candidate will lead a team of Governance Specialists responsible for tendering activity, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering value to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Governance & Compliance team, ensuring adherence to PCR15 and PA23
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to deliver value to customers
  • Manage procurement project plans, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations
  • Provide support to the wider business on procurement activities and contractual commitments
  • Represent Foodbuy and NHS Supply Chain: Food at industry events and forums
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • Good awareness of the new Procurement Act 2023
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business plans
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
