We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to join our team at Markel. As a Claims Handler, you will play a critical role in supporting our claims team and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a workload of claims covering various classes of business, with a focus on Employers Liability, Public Liability, and Property claims.
- Prioritize work, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines to ensure claims are resolved in a proactive manner.
- Develop a detailed knowledge of policy wordings and their application for Employers' Liability, Public Liability, and Property claims across all classes of business.
- Maintain good communication with key brokers and ensure relationships are built and maintained.
- Contribute to team projects as required by the PRT Claims Team Leader and the UK Claims Managers.
- Hold either legal qualifications or be a claims practitioner with property claims experience.
- Have good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and be competent with in-house systems.
- Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
