About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Outcomes First Group. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with special needs, including those with autism and intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to support students in their daily lives, ensuring their occupational and sensory needs are met.
  • Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments, develop and implement individualized interventions, and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Provide training and information to staff, commissioners, and other agencies as required.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary therapy team to create a supportive environment for our students to thrive.

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) degree
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including those with complex needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Substantial post-qualification experience working with children and young people
  • Experience in data management and analysis
  • Qualification in sensory integration or experience working with sensory integration techniques
  • Experience in supervising and training staff
