About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at Meadowcroft School in West Yorkshire. As a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with complex needs, including autism and additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a holistic and dynamic approach to Occupational Therapy, ensuring the needs of our pupils are met.
  • Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments, develop bespoke interventions, and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Provide training and information to staff, commissioners, and other agencies as required.
  • Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary therapy team to create a supportive environment for our pupils.

Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) qualification.
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including complex trauma and mental health needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key partners and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience with children and young people, including lecturing/teaching/training.
  • Skills in data management and analysis.
  • Experience with sensory integration and supervision/training of staff.
