This role is a key part of our commitment to delivering high-quality mental health services. As a Practice Mental Health Nurse, you will work closely with the Primary Care team and multidisciplinary professionals to provide specialist advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide specialist clinical advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals in relation to mental health conditions.
  2. Work collaboratively with the Primary Care team to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of patients.
  3. Provide teaching and supervision to junior staff and students to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality mental health care.
  4. Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries.
Requirements

This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
