As a key member of our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions, you will play a vital role in reducing the risk of offending, re-offending, and harm to young people and the public. You will work in partnership with various statutory and voluntary agencies to develop, coordinate, implement, and review intervention plans with children and young people subject to early intervention, prevention, and youth justice services and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake assessments and develop intervention plans with children and young people, ensuring clear structured exit strategies are in place for all cases on closure.
  2. Keep accurate and up-to-date case records, including electronic records, statistics, and other information meeting the requirements of the service and its partner agencies.
  3. Act as duty officer, evaluating and responding to new referrals, taking appropriate action, and providing advice, information, and assistance, including undertaking the role of Appropriate Adult as defined in the Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
  4. Represent the service in court, providing information to the Court, the Crown Prosecution Service, defence solicitors, and other court users, and prosecuting breaches of court orders.

Requirements:

  • A relevant professional or degree-level qualification (NVQ 4) associated with one of the partner agencies.
  • A minimum of 2/8 posts in the service must have a recognised social work qualification.
  • Able to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and occasional Saturday and Bank Holiday court cover.
