About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed team within the Children's Services department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and young people with complex disabilities.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of disabled children and young people, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and relevant professionals.
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Occupational Therapist, effectively deploy resources and ensure risk assessments align with departmental priorities and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and development of Occupational Therapy Assistant staff, working collaboratively under the direction of the Senior Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide expert recommendations and guidance on specialized equipment for disabled children and young people, ensuring its proper utilization by both the child and their caregivers.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for working with children. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (Diploma/BSc or equivalent) and current HCPC registration.
  • A strong understanding of the unique needs of children with complex disabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of minor and major adaptations that can significantly benefit children with complex disabilities.
