Job Title: Occupational Therapist for Children

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Southampton. As an Occupational Therapist for Children, you will work with children with complex disabilities and their families to provide specialist equipment and adaptations to improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and recommend specialist equipment and adaptations for children with complex disabilities
  • Work with children and their families to develop personalized plans to improve their independence and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Manage a demanding and complex caseload to agreed deadlines and timescales
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative frameworks and best practices in occupational therapy
Requirements:
  • Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists or BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualifications recognized by WFOT
  • Registration with Health and Care Professions Council
  • At least 18 months post-qualification experience of working as an Occupational Therapist in a Social Care or Health setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
