About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Optimization Specialist to join our team at Cloudsmith. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our performance testing capabilities and ensuring the optimal performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced performance monitoring tools to identify and address potential performance bottlenecks in real-time.
  • Develop and implement strategies for system enhancements, focusing on improving performance and reducing latency.
  • Lead efforts in capacity planning to ensure our infrastructure meets current and future operational demands efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, and product teams to align performance goals with business objectives and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in performance testing and optimization, particularly within cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with APM tools, DataDog preferably.
  • Experience with Python, and Locust for load testing.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on findings and recommendations.

Work Environment

You will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere on the island of Ireland, with occasional in-person meetings in Belfast.

Interview Process

The interview process will consist of three rounds, including a 30-minute introductory chat, a technical round, and a final culture-fit round.
