Cloudsmith is seeking a highly skilled Performance Optimization Specialist to enhance their performance testing capabilities.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our capacity to identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance across all our systems.

You will be responsible for applying your expertise in black box testing and load testing to ensure our systems are not only robust but also scalable to meet future demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leveraging APM tools to monitor real-time system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for system enhancements, focusing on improving performance and reducing latency.
  • Leading efforts in capacity planning to ensure our infrastructure meets current and future operational demands efficiently.
  • Collaborating with development, operations, and product teams to align performance goals with business objectives and customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in performance testing and optimization, particularly within cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with APM tools, DataDog preferably.
  • Experience with Python, and Locust for load testing.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on findings and recommendations.

Work Arrangements:

You will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere on the island of Ireland, with occasional in-person meetings in Belfast.

Interview Process:

Our interview process consists of three rounds, including a 30-minute introductory chat, a technical round, and a final culture-fit round.

Technology Stack:

We are a cloud-native company, born in AWS, and utilize their services across our platform. Our technology stack includes Python, Django, ECS, Postgres, Kinesis, Cloudfront, Flink, Elastic Search, Lambda, Amazonmq, Terraform, and Postgres. We also leverage tools such as Datadog, Linear, Slack, Notion, and CircleCI.
