Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process invoices, bank reconciliations, and sales and purchase ledgers
  • Process payments, client and office transfers, and CHAPS transfers
  • Produce and check completion statements and billing
  • Receive, check, and pay consultant invoices
  • Paying supplier invoices
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Manage month-end reporting and operate our case management system Actionstep and Xero
  • Process monthly payroll and liaise with consultant solicitors and retained team
  • Deal with client queries and manage outstanding debts
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts rules and VAT regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with new rules and regulations from the SRA
  • Follow the file closing process to ensure client files are dealt with correctly

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts rules and VAT regulations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
