About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Officer to join our Integrated Programme Team (IPT) at GKN Aerospace. As a key member of our team, you will provide commercial expertise and support to our top-tier Aerospace clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with customers and IPT to ensure contractual obligations and boundaries are met.
- Support new bidding activity, including business model compilation and commercial proposal development.
- Manage and maintain the company order book to reflect customer purchase order requirements.
- Maintain commercial/contractual correspondence files and key performance metrics.
- Support change negotiations with customers and ensure timely payment in accordance with agreed terms.
- Contribute to internal reporting requirements and support project/program review structure.
- Review customer MRP and conclude on demand changes, checking against contractual conditions.
- Manage opportunities to improve the business case and adhere to program management and commercial standards.
Requirements
- Business and/or finance qualification with demonstrable experience in the workplace.
- Commercially savvy with a good understanding of key financial principles.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Relevant qualifications (World CC/IACCM) and experience in a similar role within the Aerospace/Defence Manufacturing Industry are desirable.
