Nottingham Community Housing Association Ltd is excited to welcome a dedicated individual to our collaborative Finance team as a Junior Management Accountant.

We seek a candidate who is either part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA or holds a degree in Finance/Accountancy, coupled with relevant experience in a financial role. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing and managing a crucial segment of the financial systems, including central recharging services.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of records through control accounts, storage systems, and reconciliations.
  • Contributing to the enhancement and upkeep of effective administration across all operational sectors.
  • Assisting in the compilation of various monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, while coordinating with External Audit as necessary.
  • Developing and organizing both manual and electronic filing systems essential for central services, ensuring records are precise and current at all times.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will not only possess a finance-related degree but also excel in interpersonal relations, showcasing a diverse array of professional skills. You should have experience in a performance-driven environment and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft spreadsheets, databases, and systems to effectively retrieve, manipulate, and analyze complex data. A solid understanding of accounting and budgeting systems, along with exceptional numeracy, literacy, and IT capabilities, is essential. We value creative thinkers who can work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.

Work Schedule

This position offers a 35-hour work week with flexible arrangements for remote and in-office work, Monday through Friday.
