About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement in Derbyshire. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will work with children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools, providing emotional and therapeutic support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one counselling sessions to children and young people in a therapeutic capacity
  • Work with children and young people to identify and address their emotional and mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualised plans to support children and young people in achieving their goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system for children and young people
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure ongoing professional development
About You

We are looking for a qualified Counsellor who is passionate about working with children and young people. You will have a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above) or a Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling, Counselling Psychology or Psychotherapy. You will also have relevant experience of direct work with children and young people.
