About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CCTV Controller to join our team at ABM UK. As a CCTV Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating CCTV cameras and associated equipment in our control room, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the control room
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, taking ownership of the situation through to its natural conclusion
  • Manage and maintain records and reference materials, ensuring strict compliance to GDPR and associated regulations
  • Liaise closely with statutory authorities and security supervisors to deal with incidents and provide information
  • Support and provide guidance to soft service managers and shopping centre management
  • Monitor and operate fire panels, intruder panels, and associated specialist security equipment
  • Monitor and surveillance of suspect individuals, logging and reporting incidents in line with site and company policies
  • Manage and monitor access and egress to and from the service yards and management office
  • Ensure that the shopping centre is a safe and non-threatening environment for all customers and site staff
Requirements
  • A valid SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licence
  • CCTV/Security control room experience
  • Strong IT ability, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of local area
  • Excellent levels of customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • Good organisational skills, flexibility, and reliability
