L3Harris Technologies is a leading provider of advanced defense and commercial technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Simulator Maintenance Technician to join our team in Crawley, UK.

About the Role

  • Lead the maintenance and support of our Full Flight Simulators and lower-level training devices.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers with technical or logistical issues.
  • Manage the team workload and future planning.
  • Undertake all duties as a member of the maintenance team providing a turnkey service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and assistance to other departments and management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults in tight time scales.
  • Perform scheduled simulator maintenance routines.
  • Investigate and repair ongoing simulator issues.
  • Assist with annual re-certification activities and follow-up reporting.
  • Implement and test software changes and build new software loads.
  • Manage spares and track repairs.
  • Monitor and record usage, reliability, and maintainability of training devices.

Requirements

  • Minimum BTEC/HTQ, HND/HNC level or equivalent relevant qualification/experience.
  • Proven electrical, electronic, and mechanical theoretical knowledge supplemented with practical experience.
  • Ability to navigate aircraft manuals and documentation.
  • Previous FSTD experience.
  • Flexibility and ability to think out of the box.
  • Act on own initiative.
  • IT literate with MS Office.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
