About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead our ecology sector business, driving profitable and sustainable growth while managing client relationships, staff development, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement the ecology sector business plan, ensuring staff capabilities meet client needs.
  2. Oversee bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and commercial reviews.
  3. Manage and mentor team members, supporting their professional development.
  4. Manage projects with strong financial oversight and commercial awareness.
  5. Lead technical work on key projects, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Requirements:
  1. Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
  2. Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  3. A valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
Experience:
  1. Minimum 15 years of consultancy experience working on development and infrastructure projects.
  2. Extensive knowledge of UK habitats and protected species, with relevant survey and mitigation licences.
Skills:
  1. Excellent understanding of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methods.
  2. Strong project management, analytical, and organisational skills.
  3. Full UK driver's licence.
