Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Integrated Care Board (ICB) to improve the quality and safety of medicines across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and delivery of our operational plan for Medicines Optimisation, working closely with GP practices, Primary Care Networks, and Federations.
- Provide specialised medicines and therapeutic advice to inform practices on priorities and actions, and the treatment of patients.
- Develop policies and implement processes to ensure medicines are handled safely and risk and quality standards are achieved at locality and practice levels.
- Deliver medicines education and training to localities and practices to increase safe and evidence-based prescribing.
- Supervise and coach other team members involved in delivering the operational plan.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Pharmacy Masters Degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or management.
- Experience of implementing current healthcare policy and working in a similar organisation or environment.
- Strong analytical skills, able to interrogate multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
