Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Feature Systems Engineer to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new features and technologies for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement systems engineering approaches to new feature design to meet customer needs
  • Lead the development of new features at the systems engineering level from early feature development to production and manage feature upgrade and migration plans
  • Develop and understand high-level network, wiring, and power distribution topologies/schematics/block diagrams
  • Allocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality, and feature performance targets
  • Develop feature specifications, feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, feature verification plans, etc.
  • Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality improvement
  • Interact with program teams, core engineers, and functional areas to create balanced solutions to competing requirements
  • Develop relationships with cross-functional teams and supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementation
  • Analyze complex cross-functional systems and implement innovative solutions
  • Lead trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams
  • Communicate complex systems, issues, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner
  • Utilize connected data and data analytics to develop a deep understanding of the customer

Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams)
  • Functional knowledge of electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc.
  • Electrical Systems Engineering experience, including understanding of systems engineering V model
  • Electrical D&R experience
  • Electrical testing experience
  • Knowledge of software development processes
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree
