About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop cutting-edge features and technologies for the automotive industry. As an Automotive Feature Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new features from concept to production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to allocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems, ensuring cost, quality, and feature performance targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute a Systems Engineering approach to new feature design to meet customer needs
  • Lead the development of new features at the systems engineering level from early feature development to production and manage feature upgrade and migration plan
  • Develop and understand high-level network, wiring, and power distribution topologies/schematics/block diagrams
  • Allocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality, and feature performance targets
  • Develop feature specifications, feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, feature verification plan, etc.
  • Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality improvement
  • Interact with program teams, core engineers, and functional areas to create balanced solutions to competing requirements
  • Develop relationships with cross-functional teams and supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementation
  • Analyze complex cross-functional systems and implement innovative solutions
  • Lead trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams
  • Communicate complex systems, issues, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner
  • Utilize connected data & data analytics to develop a deep understanding of the customer
