Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist to join our Crisis and Home Treatment Service (CAHTS) team, embedded within the Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to clinicians within the CAHTS team
  • Lead and manage a small clinical caseload, working closely with the community team manager and wider CAMHS teams
  • Develop and implement effective interventions and strategies to support children and young people with complex mental health needs
  • Collaborate with statutory agencies and the voluntary sector to ensure seamless care pathways
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve service delivery
Requirements
  • Mental Health professional qualification to degree level or equivalent
  • Considerable post-qualifying experience in mental health, including experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands
