Warehouse First Line Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse First Line Manager to lead our weekend operations, managing a team of 30 operatives to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 30 operatives to achieve daily targets.
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee goods receipt, storage, and dispatch while optimising space and resources.
  • Workload Allocation: Allocate workloads across departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fostering a secure work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, address discrepancies, and maintain accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes.
  • Warehouse Inspections: Conduct regular warehouse inspections for cleanliness and organisation.
  • Reporting and Performance: Provide KPI reports and performance updates to senior management.
  • Personnel Management: Handle personnel issues including lateness, disciplinaries, appraisals, and 1:1s.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in Warehouse Management (essential).
  • WMS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (essential).
  • Team Management: Proven track record of managing a team of 30 operatives.
  • Personnel Management: Experience handling personnel management tasks, including disciplinaries and appraisals.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in warehouse setups and process improvement (desirable).
