We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to manage weekend operations, leading a team of 30 operatives to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their warehouse management career, with the possibility of moving into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of 30 operatives to meet daily operational targets.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring space and resources are optimally utilised.
- Allocate workloads to appropriate teams and departments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, promoting a safe and secure work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, addressing discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline warehouse processes.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure a clean and organised working environment.
- Provide performance and operational KPI reports to management.
- Handle all personnel issues such as lateness, disciplinaries, KPIs, 1:1s, and appraisals.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Warehouse Management (essential).
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (essential).
- Proven experience managing a team of 30 operatives.
- Ability to handle lateness, disciplinaries, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Experience in warehouse setups and improving processes (desirable).
