Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our distribution centre team and drive operational excellence. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products to meet customer service levels and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance and support to ensure effective task allocation and completion.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels and schedules to meet operational demands, while controlling hours and overtime within budget.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to maximise stock availability and reduce stock damage.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management.
- Lead by example, motivating team members to succeed and maintain a positive work environment.
- Previous experience in a warehouse management role, preferably in a distribution environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of HR procedures and ability to manage employee relations.
- Competent use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
