Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a renowned special needs school in Deal. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex learning needs, including ASD, in both learning and daily activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with profound and complex learning difficulties, including ASD, in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist students with personal care tasks, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement personalized education plans (EHCPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes growth and achievement for students with special educational needs.

Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel an hour for work.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEND) is preferred.

  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and clearances.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (child workforce) or be willing to apply for one.
