Head of Maintenance Operations

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our maintenance operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Guidance: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to our maintenance team, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Resource Management: Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring that necessary parts and equipment are available for maintenance activities. Coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing costs.
- Project Oversight: Oversee maintenance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects effectively.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance operations, such as equipment downtime, repair turnaround times, and maintenance costs. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs for maintenance technicians and develop training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. Provide coaching and support to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards in maintenance activities. Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance team and implement measures to mitigate risks and hazards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory logs. Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance and present findings to senior management as needed.
- Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with ASIB and BRCGS accreditation requirements related to maintenance activities. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance and address any non-conformities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role, with a strong understanding of maintenance principles and practices.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of maintenance software systems for tracking and managing maintenance activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Certification in maintenance management or related field (e.g., CMRP, CMM).
