Job Title: Head of Operations and Security

Join the House of Commons as a key member of our security team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our parliamentary estate.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our security operations, working closely with our Head of Security Operational Resilience to provide assurance on the integrity of our operational security protocols and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of our security guarding and fire protection operations
  • Deputise for the Deputy Director Security and Fire Operations on all operational security and fire protection-related issues
  • Advise the Head of Security Operational Resilience on training needs and resource requirements
  • Lead across organisational boundaries, securing co-operation and buy-in without formal management levers
Requirements
  • Experience of leading a large and complex security operation
  • Proven track record of service improvement
  • Ability to lead, manage, develop, and motivate teams
  • Experience of evaluating threats and vulnerabilities and implementing mitigations
