Head of Security Operations

UK Parliament is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Security Operations team.
About the RoleThe Head of Security Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing operational security strategies to ensure the safety and security of Parliament's estate and its occupants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing security protocols and procedures to mitigate identified threats
- Leading and managing a team of security professionals to deliver high-quality outcomes and sustainable change
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Parliament to ensure effective security operations
- Providing resilience for the Head of Security and Fire Operations during periods of absence
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience of developing and embedding strategic initiatives in physical and operational security
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Experience of overseeing planning of large-scale events and identifying risks, issues, and problems
- Ability to evaluate threats and vulnerabilities and implement mitigations in a complex risk environment
