We are seeking a highly skilled and multi-talented Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our global Distribution team at our Castle Donington Distribution Centre. As part of our transformation and investment programme, this role will involve involvement and exposure to leading-edge automation technology.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with a team of Engineers, Inspectors, and Senior Engineers to resolve reactive breakdowns, carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance in a highly automated environment.
- Use root cause analysis tools to drive reliability through delivery of continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure health and safety is paramount, continually raising awareness of hazards and resolving potential safety issues.
- Work collaboratively and liaise with other site functions to ensure delivery for our customers every day.
- Develop yourself and others with the support of our onsite Training Team.
- You will need to be multi-skilled, with recognised training in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, i.e., ONC/HNC level qualification.
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment or similar, with a recognised Apprenticeship in an appropriate Engineering field.
- Able to demonstrate a continuous improvement approach and deal with conflicting priorities with ease in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Enjoy mentoring and developing others, working as part of a team to achieve tangible results.
- Good knowledge and understanding of CMMS systems/databases and comfortable working at heights of 25 metres.
