Job Title: Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's, a leading children's charity. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in our residential settings.

Service Overview:

Our Family Residential Centre provides a safe and structured living environment for parents and their children, allowing them to assess parenting capacity and receive tailored support. Our team works closely with families to address complex needs, including learning difficulties, domestic violence, and substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with families to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Contribute to a therapeutic environment, promoting positive relationships and behaviors.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of child development and the needs of vulnerable young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
