About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Alzheimer's Society as a Community Awareness Ambassador. In this role, you will play a vital part in raising awareness of dementia and promoting our support services within local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support local events and initiatives to promote awareness of dementia and our support services
  • Hold information stands and display leaflets in community venues, such as libraries and GP surgeries
  • Establish connections with local organizations and community groups to promote our services
  • Provide low-level emotional support to individuals affected by dementia
  • Network with organizations and groups to identify opportunities for carers, people newly diagnosed, and those with memory problems to engage and participate in their community
