Awareness Raising Ambassador

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our mission to raise awareness about dementia and promote our support services in the local community.
As a representative of Alzheimer's Society, you will play a vital role in ensuring that people who are worried about or affected by dementia are aware of the support and advice services we offer.
You will support local events, hold information stands, and display leaflets in various community venues, such as libraries and GP surgeries, to promote our services and raise awareness about dementia.
You will also establish connections with local organisations and community groups to help achieve widespread awareness of our support services.
As a valued member of our team, you will receive branded clothing and may have the opportunity to be featured in local media to showcase our work.
We are looking for volunteers to help raise awareness of dementia and signpost to our new Dementia Support Early Intervention service.
Volunteers will work in community hubs, drop-in events, groups, and healthcare settings, offering low-level emotional support as required and networking with organisations to find out about local groups and services that have opportunities for carers, people newly diagnosed, and those with memory problems to be engaged and active in their community.
