About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at a prestigious school in Buckingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and culinary team
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the school's nutritional standards
  • Ensure high-quality food production and presentation
  • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to achieve excellent customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary up to £38,000 per annum
  • 45 hours per week, with some flexibility to adjust to meet the needs of the school
  • 20 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to increase to 25 days after a certain period of service
