**About the Role**

Bloomsbury Publishing plc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our IT Business Systems team as an Application & Interface Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing first-line systems support, ensuring the smooth operation of our technical systems and infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide exceptional technical support to Bloomsbury staff across all publishing areas, ensuring minimal disruption to our business operations.
  • Produce detailed reports on data quality and open issues, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Manage title data on third-party title databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with systems testing and configuration, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Monitor operations, including scheduled data interfaces, to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with data feeds to third-party vendors, ensuring timely delivery of data.
  • Support data quality initiatives, working closely with the data team to implement best practices and improve data accuracy.

**Requirements**

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, patient, and friendly manner.
  • Strong understanding of basic IT concepts and systems, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good MS Office skills, especially Excel, with the ability to create complex reports and analyses.
  • Biblio3 software and ONIX for Books knowledge a plus, but not essential.
