Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Compliance Specialist to join our team at Marshalls PLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring our operation complies with all environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SHE Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment) at our site, working closely with the site team and external support functions to enable compliance with internal and external standards.
- Monitor compliance, policies, procedures, and management systems, and provide updates at the monthly management meetings.
- Be involved in environmental planning, managing external contractors, assisting with SHE investigations, and driving improvements on-site in all SHE areas.
- Coordinate and facilitate the SHE risk assessment process and assist and advise as needed in developing safe work systems.
- Drive site SHE programmes, goals, and targets.
- Coordinate site internal and external SHE Training requirements.
- Attend regular site Safety Development Group meetings.
- Coordinate implementing, monitoring, and testing site emergency response plans and any associated training requirements.
- Assist and advise where required with accident and incident investigation and monitor the follow-up of corrective and preventative actions to closure.
- Ensure all routine SHE monitoring is completed in accordance with all relevant legislation.
- Conduct site SHE audits and inspections and coordinate 3rd party audits. Report, monitor, and drive the follow-up of actions.
Requirements:
- Holding a NEBOSH qualification is essential, and some experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems is desirable.
- Champion the implementation of corporate and site-specific SHE procedures.
- Manage the site ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Management Systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, corporate, local authority, or other stakeholder requirements.
