Job Title: Clinical Lead GP Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced GP to lead our Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service, a key part of our Forth Valley Cancer Strategy. The successful candidate will have completed GP training and have a strong clinical and leadership background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team to develop and implement the Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service
  • Work closely with the Cancer Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the service meets the needs of patients and staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers to ensure effective referral pathways
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of the service

About the Role: The Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service is a timely and often one-stop environment for clinically complex patients with potentially serious non-specific symptoms suspicious of cancer. The service is highly valued by patients and staff, and has been shown to be cost-effective. As part of our commitment to equitable access to cancer services, we aim to have a Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service in every health board by Spring 2026.
