**Position Summary**

The Underwriting Director, Facultative role is a dynamic position that requires a unique blend of underwriting and client interaction skills. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients and brokers to develop and maintain relationships, analyze risk, and provide expert underwriting guidance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to meet business objectives
  • Analyze and assess property submissions to determine coverage and risk
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and brokers through regular communication and site visits
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, regulations, and competitor activity
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve processes
  • Represent Arch Capital Group in meetings and presentations with clients and brokers

**Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:**

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, risk management)
  • Professional designations such as ACII or CPCU are an asset
  • Proven track record of success in underwriting or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work at a senior level
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • High degree of technical competence in property underwriting
  • Ability to travel internationally for business
