Our International Facultative Division

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Underwriting Operations Technician to join our International Facultative Division. As a key member of our Property & Casualty Facultative Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriting operations and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Pre-underwriting of Individual Risks: Interpret, analyze, and input information supplied by our team of Underwriters and clients into the relevant underwriting database/s and rating tools, pre-filling underwriting notes, quotations, and electronic files according to our various workflow procedures and underwriting guidelines.
  • Post-underwriting: Process reinsurance certificates and endorsements, monitor, and follow up on account-related outstanding tasks with clients.
  • Run renewal and other ad-hoc reports, manage Programs & Facilities administration, including bordereaux.
  • Manage client contact information and work with underwriters and clients regarding outstanding information and correspondence.
  • Assist underwriters and other internal units with account management, including claims documentation and management/follow up of receivables and accounts.

Requirements

  • Experience in the (re)insurance/underwriting industry is preferred but we are willing to train the successful candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and operate various applications at once.
  • Ability to analyze, manipulate, and organize complex data.
  • Strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Approachable and able to convey information, ideas, and viewpoints in the appropriate tone and manner.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of and a user of the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
